 We select classes for the grade levels below based on enrollment, student interests, and teacher availability for each subject. Below are the courses we will offer for the 2017-2018 school year.  Classes begin after mass/virtues class and a short snack/recess.

Early Preschool

Children ages 2 to 4 will play, share, sing songs, and become acclimated to a co-op environment using the Memoria Press preschool curriculum. Children also will be introduced to basic learning skills (ABCs, 123s) through play and hands-on learning activities. The school day will include outdoor recess, story time, and quiet time. Afternoon quiet time/nap time will begin shortly after 1 pm. (Kerri B,  Oma L)., Shelia H.).

PK4 through 2nd Grades

Session 1, Geography Adventures.  Students will learn about geography, landmarks, culture, and saints for each of the seven continents in a fun, explorer-themed tour of the world.  (Margaret G., Shelia H.)

Session 2, Ancient History.  Students will learn about ancient civilizations, as presented in The Story of Civilization, by Tan Books. (Carlye T., Crystal F.)

Session 3,  Block Rotations. Children in Grades PK4 through 2nd will join with the older students to learn using a "one room school" model, with helpers to assist with age appropriate follow up, after the general presentation.  We will rotate four subject areas during this 90-minute afternoon block: Science, Music, Liturgical Cooking & Traditions, and "Dad's Day" with an emphasis on safety, navigation, outdoor skills, etc. In instances when a presentation is not relevant to preschool and kindergarten students, students will enjoy a movie hour in their classroom.

Grades 3-8

Session 1, World History. Students will learn about medieval world history, as presented in The Story of Civilization, by Tan Books. (Carlye T, Crystal F., Noah F..)

Session 2, EntrepreneurshipStudents will learn the basics about planning, promoting and managing their own business adventure. This energetic, upbeat class will allow students to discover their interests and potential as entrepreneurs.  (Crystal/Noah F., Kerri B.)

For the 2017-2018 school year, we will offer combined classes for grades PK4* to 8, as follows:

Science (Margaret G) -- Meets once every 4 weeks. Schedule forthcoming.

Dads' Day (Eric G) -- Meets once every 4 weeks. Schedule forthcoming.

Music (Kerri B) -- Meets once every 4 weeks. Schedule forthcoming.

Liturgical Cooking (Crystal F) -- Meets once every 4 weeks. Schedule forthcoming.
